The Brownstone Pancake Factory is the culmination of one family's thriving love for the food business and vision for an endearing atmosphere. With the growth of the diner's hometown of Jersey City, the family dream also grew, expanding to a second location in Edgewater, NJ.
Seeking to offer the same experience and atmosphere people have grown to love in Jersey City, they called upon the vision of interior designer, Vanessa DeLeon. Vanessa's Vision: An upside down concept with details nodding back to the original 1968 Diner.
In design I love being innovative, and thinking outside the box. Using custom wallpaper allowed me to be creative and expressive. — Vanessa DeLeon
Murals Your Way was thrilled by the opportunity to work with Vanessa DeLeon Associates (VDA) on such a creative project. To support their concept, we helped select the perfect 'upside down' garden images from our gallery of thousands to create several custom murals. VDA also had their own custom design featuring a newspaper clip of the Brownstone Diner's 1968 grand opening. Working from VDA's elevations and measurements, we were able to scale each image, ensuring a perfect fit around pillars, doors, and windows. To withstand heavy restaurant traffic, we recommended the murals be printed on our commercial grade vinyl wallcovering with the addition of a protective top coat.
The final result is a unique and memorable atmosphere, blending the appeal of an old-fashioned diner with an undeniable modern flip. Dining at the Brownstone Pancake Factory is sure to turn your world upside down!
