SotaRol Restaurant Business Case Study

Having mastered both the fast casual dining experience with Agra Culture Kitchen and Press and the FroYo market with Yogurt Lab, Minnesota grown CEO Aaron Switz and his partners at Minneapolis based Z&H Hospitality turned their attention to Sushi and Asian fusion; A new "rolls and bowls" concept with an "up north" appeal calling it, fittingly, SotaRol. (Minnesota/ sushi roll).

Challenge:

SotaRol's interior needed to match the totally original Minnesota-made restaurant concept. How do you bring Asian fusion and the north woods together in a cohesive and stylish interior? Custom wallpaper murals, that's how!

With the combination of one perfectly picked birch tree image and one awesomely distinctive custom image submitted by Aaron, their concept of Asian fusion with an up north appeal took shape. To withstand heavy restaurant traffic, we recommended the murals be printed on our commercial grade vinyl with a polyurethane topcoat. Results:

The end result is a perfect culmination of Asian fusion and up north appeal. Just what Aaron was hoping for. As you walk through the front door you can't miss the eye catching mural of a flannel wearing man holding a fish or the perfectly placed birch tree mural along the lower portion of the main dining wall.
